Users can also choose to add additional accounts to the default chart of accounts if desired. This allows QuickBooks to install the appropriate chart of accounts information suitable for a nonprofit. To set up the nonprofit version of QuickBooks Online, users will need to choose ‘nonprofit’ as the business type to use during the setup process. QuickBooks Online for Nonprofits is available in four versions: Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced, with each edition offering increased system functionality.
